The museum is located on the Herengracht 573, between Utrechtsestraat and Thorbeckeplein, directly behind the Rembrandtplein.

Getting here

Public transport
The museum is easily accessible by public transport.
From Amsterdam Central Station take tram 9 (Rembrandtplein stop. Or tram 4, 16, 24 and 25 (Keizersgracht - on the Vijzelstraat)
Or Metro 51, 53 and 54 (Waterlooplein stop)

By car
Park on the Herengracht (paid and if available) or in the garages Muziektheater/Stadhuis (Waterlooplein) or The Bank (Rembrandtplein).

By boat
Several boat companies have a stop at Opera/City Hall, a five minute walk from the museum. There is also a stop opposite the museum, on the Herengracht.

Accessibility

The entire museum is handicap-accessible. An attendant can help you negotiate the two steps to get to the museum shop.
The museum has an elevator. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor. There are no wheelchairs available.
